Easy Chicken Tikka Recipe | Quick & Flavorful


Chicken Tikka is a classic Indian starter loved for its smoky flavor, vibrant color, and tender, juicy bites. This easy recipe uses simple ingredients and two quick marinades to bring authentic taste right to your kitchen. Perfect as an appetizer or a complete meal with naan, roti, or rice!



🌟Ingredients

For the First Marinade 👇


• Diced boneless chicken

• Salt

• Lemon juice

• Ginger & garlic paste


For the Second Marinade 👇


• Mustard oil

• Degi mirch (for color)

• Red chilli powder

• Salt

• Turmeric

• Black pepper

• Coriander powder

• Cumin powder

• Pinch of cardamom powder

• Yoghurt

• Lemon juice

• Gram flour (besan)

• Ginger & garlic paste



🌟Instructions

🌺First Marinade


1. Add the diced boneless chicken to a bowl.

2. Season with salt, lemon juice, and ginger-garlic paste.

3. Mix well and let it rest for 30 minutes.

This helps tenderize the chicken and enhances the flavor.



🌺Prepare the Second Marinade

1. In a separate bowl, add mustard oil.

2. Mix in:

° Degi mirch

° Red chilli powder

° Salt

° Turmeric

° Black pepper

° Coriander powder

° Cumin powder

° Cardamom powder (a pinch)

° Yoghurt

° Lemon juice

° Gram flour

° Ginger & garlic paste


3. Combine everything until you get a smooth, thick marinade.



🌺Combine Chicken & first marinade. 

1. Drain any excess water from the first-marinated chicken.

2. Add the chicken to the second marinade and mix until all pieces are well coated.

3. Rest again for 30 minutes.


🌺 Grill the Chicken

1. Skewer the marinated chicken onto barbecue sticks.

2. Grease a pan with mustard oil.

3. Place the skewers on the hot pan.

4. Cook on high flame first to get a nice char.

5. Reduce to medium flame and grill until the chicken is fully cooked and tender, turning occasionally.
